Into the Fire Tools Hub
Checklists you can actually use at the gate, on a carry, and before you download a test.
Guides teach the loop. This hub turns the loop into cards you can keep open on a second monitor while a playtest ticks. Nothing here is a live calculator connected to Starward’s servers. Everything here is a structured version of decisions testers already fail: leaving without tanks, picking up four extras, installing to an HDD.
Three tools:
- Expedition planner — bag, perks, abort rules.
- Survivor priority — who to carry when the street is dying.
- PC checklist — playtest hardware versus the TBA store block.
Use them with the equipment hub so the card names the actual items, and with Getting Started so you do not planner-max a kit you cannot yet aim.
Why a pre-launch game still needs tools
Because the loop is already systemic. Daily food, water, morale, and threat are numbers. Skull ratings are numbers. Kick stamina became a number in a patch note. A wiki that only writes essays leaves you improvising those numbers at the worst time — with a person in your arms and a bomb tell on screen. The planner is the essay with the adjectives stripped.
How to use the three together
Morning: PC checklist if this is your first install, then camp report, then planner. Field: survivor priority only when you have two valid targets and one pair of arms. Evening: copy what broke into your next planner line, and file it in the official playtest channel if it was a bug rather than a skill issue.
Do not use the planner as a reason to stall in camp while threat climbs. A filled card is not a crafted axe. Camp hub still wants you out the door.
What these tools refuse to do
They will not invent gift codes, drop tables, or a squad planner. Into the Fire is a single-player PC cataclysm. They will not promise console settings. They will not pretend the Steam TBA block is a spec. They will not rank Frank as a hero unit.
If you want ranks, go to weapons. If you want dates, go to release date. If you want the story of a run, stay in guides. This hub is the clipboard.
Keep the cards honest
When playtest notes change a stamina cost, change the abort line on the planner, not your personality. When a new district lands, add a mobility row, do not copy Kit 4 onto it because the name sounds cooler. Tools rot faster than guides. That is fine. Rot means you are still playing the live build.
Print, screenshot, or just leave the tab open. The volcano will not wait for a prettier UI.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Are these official Starward tools?
No. Fan checklists built from public trailers, news, and playtest reports.
Do I need all three?
Need the planner. Need priority once you start grabbing extras. Need the PC card once, then only when you change hardware.
Will you add a damage calculator?
Not until public numbers exist. Extinguishing is a feel system, not a spreadsheet yet.
Can I use these in Early Access?
Yes, with the same caution as the rest of the wiki: retune when patches land.
